Abington Twp. on Willowbrook Road, which was a dead end (after Rt. 80 went through) We lived right off Edella Road before you went over the big bridge over Rt. 80. When they cut through Edella Road for Rt. 80, we bought a house that was in the right-of-way and moved it down to our land. I took moving pictures of the house being moved in the winter with all our furniture in it, and no one would insure it until it was solidly on the ground. Talk about sweating it out. The driver had to back the trailer with the house on it over a stack of about 12 railroad ties high. He had about 6-8" on either side of the tires. The first attempt they started to shift, and he had to pull off so they could rearrange it. When he got the house off safely, the sweat was on his forehead. My hands were shaking so much I could hardly hold the movie camera. But it worked out well. Nice to meet people from the same area. Ruth
