Can anyone help with this mystery in Scranton, PA ???? My Great Grandfather in 1900 census was named William Pedrowskervick, age 32, Scranton, Lackawanna born Nov. 1868 married to Annie born Feb. 1877. (Street - lived on Clearview) Coal miner, speaks Lithuanian from Poland/Russia Then in the 1910 census his name is William Patricavigch ,age 42, Scranton, Lackawanna still married to Annie. (Street- moved to Lloyd St.) Coal miner, Speaks Lithuanian from Russia Then in 1920 his name is William Burns, age 52, Scranton, Pennsylvania, no longer shows a wife, however the children are the same, still working as a coal miner, speaks Lithuanian from Russia This has been a real BRICK WALL! Can't find anything before 1900 or after 1920 on Annie and William (Pedrowskervick, Patricavigch, Burns) or their kids. Susie
Have you considered the translation of Pedrowskervick/Patricavigch? Maybe it's something to do with fire or burning.
