My Great Grandparents came to Scranton in December 1863.. The actually arrived in America on 31 December. They were German Lutheran and lived in Scranton for about three years before relocating to W-B. Without coming up to Scranton, is there any way of obtaining any information on them. I just have to determine , if possible, the town in Germany they left. I have possible leads that it was Sattelbach or Fahrenbach. I do have records of his brother from these towns and his family coming to America. The family name is FEHLINGER. His name was Franz and his wife was Johanna. They had two daughters, Louisa and Mary. Hi Susan, Joe had a cousin, I believe her name was Alice Richards, or her married name may have been Heller. She died very soon after giving birth to a son. This was probably in 1950, plus or minus. I believe she is buried in the Milwaukee cemetery. If you find her, please let me know. I have been having a good bit of luck on my husband's Welch side. A very fine gentlemen from Wales has located his great-grandparents, and we are working from there. His gggrandfather was Timothy McCloskey, and he was widowed and living with his son-in-law, Judson (Caraline) Cahoon in Newton, on the 1880 census. He was about 73-75. I was told his wife was Frances, but I can't find anything on her. Thank you for all the help you gave me. Ruth ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Terri, My Grandma Dee lived at 155 Moosic Street and my Driscoll grandparents lived off Lane Street at 703 Barrett Avenue. My family settled in Jessup in the 1850's and were there for over 100 years. Sadly, none of my close cousins live there now. My Aunt, Margaret Dee Fagan, died in 1997 an she was the last one there. I know you and I have corresponded before.
