I am going to Scranton tomorrow and would like to lookup some naturalization records in the federal courts. I have visited there before, but I know they have had some major renovations and many offices have been moved around. Could someone tell me the current location of the office that holds naturalization records? Jim Dolan

Taylor Primitive Methodist Church is still in existence. It is a very small church. My cousin's father was Rev. White. Her son -in-law is the sexton of the church now and lives in the old manse behind the church. The address is 153 S. Keyser Ave., Taylor, PA 18517. Don't know if they have a phone, and I am loathe to give my cousin's number out. Tom Price

I am having the same problem as Laurence Lance. I sent Joe Bryer's GRSNP organization a check in the spring, which they cashed, because he said they found the naturalization records for my grandfather and would see if they had birth, marriage and death records. for several family members. He also said they would try to get post-1906 records from the state (when I tried I got a bureaucratic response). I e-mailed him a couple times since then as I got better dates or names. No response. When I e-mailed him in early July asking for a status and at least the naturalization records (which he said they had found) he said they would send me what was in my file. I haven't received anything. I finally wrote to him about a week ago since e-mails weren't producing any response. No response. I know they use volunteers, but at least they could have responded by telling me the status of the search and sent me the naturalization records.

Good day all. I have for ten years without result been looking for EMMA or Imogene (?) Decker. According to census information EMMA DECKER was born about 1858 probably in NY or the Blairstown area of NJ. She married about late 1873 or early 1874 to ANTHONY LANCE aka LANTZ, or LANTS. ANTHONY LANCE was born in the Blairstown, NJ area or in Walnut Valley some three miles west of Blairstown, NJ. By October of 1874 the couple had moved to Scranton where their first son, WILLIAM B. LANCE was born. In Oct of 1897 Emma divorced Anthony and no more can be found for her. The divorce records for Oct of 1897 appear to be missing and no other data seems to be available. Any information on this woman would be very much appreciated.
