    1. [PA-LAC] Naturazlizations
    2. There seems to be some incorrect info about naturalizations. The ones from the 1850's thru 1905 are still in the Lackawanna Co. Courthouse in the Clerk of Judicial Records on first floor. What was moved to the new part of the Federal Courthouse is the index on microfilm from 1906 on. There is a lot of infomration on the cards, but the files themselves are in the National Archives in Philadelphia. Tom

    2. Dunmore Cemetery is separate from Forest Hill. They share a fence, but are not the same. Both numbers are in teh phone book, or on the Lackawanna Co. webpage. Many cemeteries are listed. Tom

    1. [PA-LAC] FYI
    2. FYI to members of the list......maybe some of you already know of this site. Hope it's a help. Pennsylvania Online Access to Archives Pennsylvania has announced the availability of free online access to the state's historical records through its Archives Records Information Access System (ARIAS), located at <A HREF="http://www.digitalarchives.state.pa.us"> http://www.digitalarchives.state.pa.us</A> . A total of over half a million records will ultimately be available online, and over 200,000 of these are already online. These include the Revolutionary War Military Abstract Card File, World War I Service Medal Application Cards, and the Spanish American War Veterans' Card File of United States Volunteers. Yet to be digitized are the Civil War Veterans' Card File and the Mexican Border Campaign Veterans' Card File. You can search the indexes, which are arranged alphabetically, and display an individual's card, manipulate the orientation of the image, and print it. This resource will then be your pointer to primary source documents in military records. This is an excellent site for Pennsylvania researchers! 1. [PA-LAC] Protocol Request
    2. Robert Hoff
    3. Hi Listers, Could I make an appeal to digest subscribers to put the appropriate subject in the subject line when they reply to a digest. I try to filter out as many of the messages using the subject (I think i'm seeing close to 300+ emails a week). There is typically not enough substance to these response messages to figure out which of the messages in the digest that they are responding to. There could be some good info in there but, due to the cryptic nature, I cannot make the time to figure out what message the response is tied to. If I only see [PA-LAC]Digest #... I tend to delete it immediately and I might be missing some good stuff. Thanks, Bob Hoff NJ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 2. My mother also had the same problem, she sent a check over a year ago and that produced no information either. No response as to finding anything or nothing we chocked it it up to them being "busy" with lots of requests to rush info with. I hope we all get the info that we're requesting. Patti in NJ

    1. [PA-LAC] Cooper / Gryskiewicz / Koprowski.
    2. Cooper / Gryskiewicz / Koprowski. I am looking for any information on my Biological Grandmother. All we know is she died in Scranton, PA sometime after 1952. Sophie Cooper married Stanley Steven Gryskiewicz circa 1927. Two children were born to that marriage, Richard Steven and Dorothy Doris, (my mother). Divorced from Stanley sometime after 1932. She remarried a man named Koprowski, date unknown. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thank-You Ed Pfeifer

    3. Lenora....No, they are not....Dunmore Cemetery backs up to the Forest Hill Cemetery and are totally different operations. Both are large, old, and are the resting places of many Scranton area people from early history, right up to today. Forest Hill has far superior records than the Dunmore operation and you will find a great database right here at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~palackaw/forest/index.html as so entered by Susan W. Pieroth, in her continued hard work in obtaining such information that research as yours and others, would be much simplified. The work of the the concerned individual at Forest Hill, has also made this possible!
