Hello Everyone. I would be willing to share any information I have found with any of you on the following families. Benner, Watts, Snyder, Dressler, Naugle, Felmlee. not sure last one is right. My gggrandfather was John F. Benner. he was born in 1844 in West Perry Township. He married Eliza Snyder in 1866. He served with the 76th PA Vol. Inf. Co. D of the Keystone Zoavues. He served from 1861 -1864 when he reenlisted as Vet. Vol. and was discharged in the summer of 1865. John and Eliza had eleven children. They were Henry E., Daniel, Sarah E, Annie A., Cora P, Mabel M, Garfield K, Elisha A, John E, Oliver M, and Bertha M. I remembe meeting Oliver as he spent time at my parents home in Harrisburg when I was young. He was old then. I have since found out that Johns parents could have been one of two couples. This is where I need help. In the 1850 census it says John Age 6 this would be right. We think he was the youngest son of Daniel and Catherine (Felmlee) Benner (not sure of the spelling) or the oldest son of Jacob and Sarah (Naugle) Benner. If anyone can help me straighten this out I would surely appreciate it. My ggrandmother Annie married James A Watts. I am also seeking info on his family. His father was Samuel Watts and mother Tillie (Dressler). I believe Samuel may have been in the Civil War also. Thank you ahead of time to anyone who can help me. Mary Roeder.
