I am working on Gelnett, and Hays. These families were from Richfield, in Juniata co., PA. Edward Hays, born 1797 was married to Catherine Eve Gelnett, also born 1797. They moved to Elk Co., PA circa 1840, and Edward died the year after. Edward's parents are supposed to be Edward Hays, Sr. and Sally Ann Patterson. Edward Hays, Jr. was allegedly their only child, then Edward Hays, Sr. died. Sally Ann Patterson then married a Henry Heiser, and had four more children to him. Sally Patterson's father may have been a Robert Patterson. Really would like to figure out my Hays line.
