Dear Stephanie, According to Dunkelberger"s The Story of Snyder County, Adam Reger (1749-1826) founded this town in 1806. He was a native of Germany and lived on land later known as the Samuel Shirley farm. He and his wife, Charlotte (1757-1832) are buried in the Old Cemetery in Beaver Springs.
