Hi All! My name is Kathy Mahmens and I'm researching my ROGERS and WILLIAMS lines in Juniata Co. Margaret WILLIAMS is the d/o Samuel Williams b 1758 Beale Twp, Juniata Co, d 30 Oct 1853 Fayette Twp, Juniata Co and Margaret Bracken b 1770, d 25 Dec 1827 Beale Twp. Margaret has the following siblings that I'm trying to track down: 1. William WILLIAMS 2. Martha WILLIAMS m to Joseph CASNER 3. Elizabeth WILLIAMS m to first Henry PIPER & second Hugh BALLENTINE 4. Mary WILLIAMS m to unknown VANORMER 5. John WILLIAMS 6. Jane WILLIAMS m to unknown ROGERS Margaret WILLIAMS was m to John ROGERS (they're my 4th GGP) abt 1828. They resided in Juniata Co prior to moving to Plainfield, Coshocton Co, OH abt 1828, where their son, Erastus Edmond (my 3rd) was born 1829. (Erastus moved to Rock Island Co, IL 1850 and was a doctor.) I found a biography on Erastus at the Rock Island Co Hist Society, which states that his parents were "natives" of Mifflin, PA. Finding anything on a John Rogers is like looking for a John Smith! <VBG!> I have found a Samuel Rogers that was in the area, and I know there was a Roger's Mill there, too. But I have not been able to find anything out on the mill or any Rogers. Would LOVE to hear from anybody that has heard of any of these folks!
