Vi, It appears that there is plenty of room for others to post to the lists as well. Frankly, it is messages like yours which require a definitive response that take up the space on the lists unneccesarily..... I was unaware that I was "monopolizing" the list by forwarding useful URL's that many listees are unaware of and for which I have received many grateful responses. If you have received any complaints, I believe I have a right to know. I wish to offend no one and would apologize immediately. I have enjoyed being on these two lists, small though they may be, I have gleaned much information and made friends along the way while posting my queries along with everyone else. I belong to 11 lists, all of which are always anxious to receive any information which will assist them in their research. They, in turn, send me much useful information and websites through which I have progressed with my research. Yours is the only negative response I have had in the many months I have forwarded what I feel to be useful information. I have and will continue to be very selective in what I forward. You and I may be well aware of what is available but many listees are not. We are here to share any and all information pertinent to genealogical research, is that not so? I live on a tiny island in the Pacific Northwest with virtually no resources other than this computer. I know what it is to have to struggle to find information and through various kind people forwarding related websites to me, I am able to advance my research in many directions. I resent being threatened with "expulsion" from the lists for the purely innocent act of sharing information, therefore, to save you the trouble, I will unsubscribe. I am posting this response to the list in the event anyone WOULD like to continue receiving these helpful websites. They may contact me personally at any time.
