Collison My sincere apologies. I stand corrected. I looked over the Wisehaupt names too quickly in my index of the Old Church Hill Cemetery. I had been travelling for over 24 hours after a week's absence, and I was groggy from lack of sleep when I was at my computer. Should have been sleeping instead of responding to E-mail. There is indeed a gravestone for Valentine Wisehaupt. It is #7 in Row 8 of the Rice Section of Old Church Hill Cemetery. The inscription reads: "In memory of Valentine, son of John and Susanna Wisehaupt Died: October 13 1847 Aged 22 years, 1 month and 22 days." I would opine that the inscription shows this Valentine Wisehaupt died young, and I think the mode of presentation suggests that he was unmarried. There is another gravestone inscription which might interest you, #9 also in Row 8, which of course is not indexed under the name Valentine. It reads as follows: "Margaretta Wisehaupt, nee Bender, wife of Valentine Wisehaupt, Sr. Died: 1804 aged 45 years, 1 month and 3 days." You may also be interested to know that the grave next to hers, i.e. #10 in Row 8, reads: "Zachariah Reiss (Rice) Died: August 19, 1811 after 80 years. Revolutionary War." If you want a full transcription of other specific Wisehaupt gravestones in the Old Church Hill Cemetery, i.e., information not found at the WebSite <http://www.rootsweb.com/~pajuniat/oldhilju.htm>, I will be happy to try to supply same for you.
