Hello Fellow Listers: I am attempting to find any information or verification that a William SHORT (b.ca.1770) married Elizabeth DUNBAR. William and Elizabeth DUNBAR SHORT presumably resided in/around the area of Concord and Fannett Twp., Franklin Co., PA., and Lack, Juniata Co., PA.. They had at least one son, William SHORT (b.30-Oct-1798 d.14-Apr-1884) who married on 10-Oct-1822 at Waterloo, Lack Twp., Juniata Co., PA. to Catharine GRAY (b.20-Mar-1801 d.28-Jul-1892 d/o James and Rebecca SHAFFER GRAY). There have been conflicting stories passed down through the family about the elder William SHORT. Some have said that his son came alone from Ireland at the age of 7 years while others say that the elder William came here and settled. I am attempting to help a fellow by the name of Sam JONES trace his very elusive ancestry, as he does not have internet access.
