Could someone please help me.... I have been searching and searching and searching...but I live in VA and cannot travel...I am trying to connect my gggrandfather Philip Henry Showers with the Showers in Juniata PA...he was born in 1820 he said and would fit in as a child of John Showers b 1793 who was married to Catharine Heiser..the information I have on this line says it is not complete so there maybe other children then the ones I have listed...is there anyone descending from this line who would know the childrens names... I have Lydia, Samuel, Matilda, Margaret and Jacob... I have been in contact with Jacob's line and have recieved tremendous help but still no information of any kind that would link my Philip here...yet the pictures we have exchanged show there must be a link...can anyone help me?.... he also lied on two marriage lic (1865 & 1905 in Fauquier VA)...gave his age different on both and fathers name different on both...so we know he was trying to hide something..would not talk of his family or past...could have been a Union deserter...so I am casting this out in hopes of someone seeing it and saying "Bingo" I got it!...well I can hope can't I?
