i am planning a trip to do some family research and would like to know what hours the Juniata Mennonite District Historical Society is open. if possible would there be additional appointment times available. i'm tenatively planning to fly into Washington, D.C. on the morning of Sept. 14th and would be pushing it to get there much before 3 or 4 in the afternoon. would like to spend a good day or two researching if possible. any thoughts or suggestions about center hours and ways to maximize my time in the area would be greatly appreciated. i have an extensive amount of information regarding the surnames McElroy, Auker, Lauver and Graybill which i would like to expand and share with people researching these lines. clark young
Greetings, I would like to make a connection with other who have McKinley interests in Juniata County. Particularly Sarah McKinley and Hiram McVey. Thank you, Tina McCain-McGarry
Hello- I apologize for the double e-mail. Iam new to this and I keep hitting the wrong button. I cannot help you with your request, but I need a little help too. I am planning a trip to Juniata Co. in Sept. I am researching the Wm. Beale family as well as Sharer, Pennald. I would appreciate suggestions as to where I begin when I get there, what I should see. I have relatives (gen.speaking) in Cumberland Co. too, Craine, Crawford and if I look, probably more as both sides of my family came from PA in the 1700's. Any help you can give me will be appreciated. Even B&Bs or motels. Thanks, Donna Kennedy

Does anyone know anything about William REYNOLDS? He is mentioned as an heir in the Administrative Account for the estate of Stephen TUCHMAN / DOUGHMAN first filed 5 Jun 1807 in Mifflin County. (Stephen DUCHMAN moved to Milford Twp., Mifflin Co. in 1797 from Lewisburg, Buffalo Twp, Northumberland Co. (later Union County)). John Howell was evidently married to one of Stephen's daughters. Payments were made to him annually from Jun 1810 until 1818. I'd especially like to know William REYNOLDS wife's name and anything else about their family. Thanks for any help! Hello I am new to list. Searching for David & Priscilla McClelland GRIER- who were in Milford Township that was Mifflin Co 1830- and by 1840 census was Juniata county. I sent message to Mifflin County list & realized that if I am looking for cemetery records, wills & probate it would be Juniata county records is that correct? I am assuming they died after 1840 still Milford township. What Presbyterian cemeteries were around there- and is there any records available. Also what of Wills & probate records how would I find them ? Any suggestions are welcomed. Any other relations or researchers of GRIERs out there?
