I have a map dated 1951 entitled God's Country, Pennsylvania's Last Frontier, Showing places of historic interest, towns, roads, streams, mountains, and other things enjoyed by the outdoorsman. As I looked at it I realized there were lots of names and dates that might mean something to someone, so I decided to post them along with a general idea of where on the map the information was located. It is not a road map showing county borders etc., but more like a schematic drawing of the area and seems to encompass the counties of Clearfield, Elk, Cameron, eastern Jefferson, and western Clinton. For that reason, I am sending this to all those county lists. There is no more information than what I have listed, but I will be glad to answer questions if something needs clarified. Hope this helps someone. Beverly Carter [email protected] Reynoldsville; George SMITH 1827-1901 Wolf and panther hunter. Killed 500 wolves McGee's Mills; first raft.
