    3. Need information on George Washington and Mary Ann (Terwilliger) Dunkle. They were living in Heath Twp, Jefferson County in 1881. Mary Ann was born 20 Aug 1843 in Millcreek Twp, Clarion Co, PA, the daughter of Solomon and Phoebe (Kinyon) Terwilliger. I have looked in some of Pat Steele's books, and found this in "Who, When and Where V. II : p 80 1885: 7/15 July 2, @ Heath Twp., death of G. W. Dunkle, shot by stepson, Curtis Terwillager. I believe this and Mary's husband G.W. to be one in the same, as Mary had a nephew by the name of Curtis Terwilliger. I also found a George Washington Dunkle, known as Washington, serving from 9-16-61 to 1-17-63 in Co. 2 US Vols. in the Civil War. He was b. 1828 d. 2 July 1885, pension application 9373 certificate 163794 (PA State Archives, Civil War Cards 1861-5). On the LDS site, I found a Geo. W. Dunkle, b. 1828, living with son A. Lavern, b. 1859 PA and mother Elizabeth, b. 1807 PA, living in Heath Twp, Jefferson Co., PA, p. 246A. Also from WWW V. II I found the this G. W.'s wife Elizabeth had died, probably prior to the census in 1880, leaving him with one living child (p 39 1880: 5/19 May 4 @ Heath Twp., death of Elizabeth J. Dunkle, 43y 4m 4d, dau. of George Harriger, born Farmington T., Clarion Co. Married George W. Dunkle about 1857, 2 children, 1 survives. Had dropsy and heart disease.) I am thinking of sending for this man's pension record, but would like son sort of confirmation of this relationship before I spend the $14-37 for it. Thank You, Lori Terwilliger BEERS, BOWERSOX, GULNAC, HUMPHREY, MOODY, MYERS, POTTER, SHARP, SHOUP, STAHLMAN, TERWILLIGER
