Hi Tom, I have been trying to help you find James Byer and Margaret Ann Lantz.I have been using the new 1880 National Census & Index by FHL.When I used the National Index and Margaret Byer name and b,1836,I came up with all the variations of Byer,Beyer,Byers, Beard,Bahr etc for a total of 33.Then I ran James Byer and there 187 of them.Then I ran James Byer in the Census in Pa.There was no James with a wife named Margaret.That is for all counties in Pa.Could James be a middle name that he went by? What was his DOB ? I guessed his age about the same as hers + a few years. The 33 names of Margaret from the National Index showed no Margarets born in Pa and being in a Census in another State.Do you have any other information that you have'nt mentioned?He must be on that same sheet with my GGF Turner,I can't find him either.That's why I have all these CD's.
