Nancy, We have a section on the Jefferson County USGenWeb site called "Planning your trip to Brookville". http://www.pa-roots.com/~jefferson/ which lists motels, restaurants, etc. There is/was a B&B on Main St. Let me check on it and get back to you. Brookville is very small and if you end up staying at one of the motels on Allegheny Boulevard near I-80, it will take you 3 minutes to get to the Court House and JCGHS...max! My only caution is to beware of metered parking. The meter maid (a former school mate) takes her job very seriously. The Jeff Co Genealogy & Historic Society is on Jefferson Street right behind the Court House. There are no meters on Jefferson Street, so I'd recommend parking there. The closest restaurant is The Meeting Place, directly across Main St. from the Court House. Excellent food, open for Bkfst, lunch, and dinner. -- Alice J.
