    3. Ralph, My family moved from Philadelphia to Jefferson County in 1849. Do you know the reason so many of them moved to Jefferson County? I was just wondering why he left his parents, brothers and sisters and moved his family so far away. I figured it must be either the railroad or the mines. Thank you. Deb
