Any one know where I could get a photo of the poorhouse from the 1900 time frame? My gr. gr. grandfather, Valentine Mohney, was moved to the county home in Brookville when he was unable to care for himself. He died there in June 1909. Shortly after Valentine's death, a scandal was discovered at the county home. The superintendant, Mr. Smith, was reportedly accused of mistreating and committing bodily harm to the "inmates", and of allowing the home to be overrun with vermin.
