    3. Hi Everyone, What you are doing is called a "Roll Call". Would any one be willing to collect all the surnames (along with the researchers) in one list? If so it would be added to the Jefferson County USGenWeb Project site for all visitors to see. Alice Gayley Co-Coordinator Jefferson County USGenWeb Project

I don't know just what you are working on, or how far back you are, but with some of those surnames, it is likely that you go back to Northumberland and Schuylkill County. (I live in Schuylkill) Quite a few families from here moved out to Jefferson County in the 1800's. Kindest regards, Ralph Schwalm

    3. Greetings, I noticed you mentioned BROSIUS as one of the names you are researching. We may have corresponded previously on this, but I don't recall at present having done so. I correspond with many people at different intervals and have lost track. Anyway, If you haven't already seen it, I have some Brosius info on my web site at: http://kwthompson.pa-roots.com/gny/BROSIUS/brosius_menu.htm Please contact me if you have any questions. 2. Deb, I think it is a good idea to share "stuff" that you have access to with the rest of this group. I personally would like to see a refresher from all listed on PAJEFFER on all the names they are researching. Personally, I am looking for information on: KUNTZ, YOCKEY, BONSALL, GRUBE, RISHEL, LUNBERG, WEBER, HAUCK just to name a few. I would love to be able to find obits and other records that I do not yet have. My family name (POWELL) is from the Ogdensburg, NY area but KUNTZ is my mothers side. How about the rest of you out there? Tom

    2. MAM, I was just sharing some obits that I had copies of. I thought that they might help someone. I do not know these people, they were just on a piece of newspaper that I had in my possession. I have other bits of information, i. e. Marriage records, City directories, obits, that I thought I'd share as well. It might help someone find someone they are looking for. Being new to this list, I thought I'd spread the information. It's not doing me any good, but it might help someone else. The surnames I'm looking for are: TAPPER, COLLEY, ROWLAND, KREITZER, KESSLER, SHEEHAN, BROSIUS, KENNEDY, WADE, HUGGINS, DEBERRY, ROCKWELL. Thank you. Deb

    2. Deb-- Thanks for all the obits, but I don't see a common thread, i.e. none of your lists have people of the same name on them. Since you are new on this list, it might help you to tell us what family name(s) you are looking for. MAM

    3. ..........and you are not complaining. In fact, instead of the fee, one could give them ten dollars and tell them to keep the change. It's is an uplifting feeling. No doubt enough is enough on this subject, and most, like me, want to move on. 3. You know, sometimes, we gripe for the sake of gripping. Whether you pay $10, for membership, or a $3, usage fee, it is still going to something most of us like doing. And, that is genealogy. Did you ever stop and think that most of us have spent a great deal of time and money getting our documentation, and pass it on freely, expecting nothing, yet knowing we have given the correct information hoping to help someone else.f Why not drop the subject! 2. Paying the $10 user fee gave me a year's membership. Its a good way to get new members.
