Barbara - I am a descendant of Archibald States, the son of Samuel and Hannah Hanna's States. She must have died at childbirth and he remarried Nancy McFarren (many different spellings) and then Sarah Hinderson. I have a lot of States information and very willing to trade information as have been working on this family off and on for over 40 years. Jerilyn This Samuel was born probably about 1777 and is buried on the Painter Farm.

Hi All, I'm looking for information about these Jefferson County people: (1) Looking for parents and siblings of Elizabeth STRAUSS (Elizabeth's surname comes from a son's death certificate), who married Israel S. FRANTZ. Elizabeth and Israel lived in Henderson Township, 1860 & 1870. Elizabeth died around 1873. Their children were, Susannah (m. Israel FRANTZ and lived in Henderson Twp.), Catherine, John E., Daniel, and Jacob Henry (my grandfather). After Elizabeth's death, Israel remarried. (2) Lydia SWARTZ (d/o of Robert SWARTZ of Henderson Township) married Israel S. FRANTZ 09 Mar 1880 in Clearfield County. By Jun 1880, they were living in CO. When their daughter Josephine was born in 1886, they were living in KY. Israel died in 1900. Lydia returned to PA with Josephine. In 1901, Lydia married John C. KING (s/o Wilson and Mary Jane KING) in Indiana Co., PA. In 1910, Lydia and John lived in Henderson Township, and in 1920, they were living in Clearfield County. Would like to know when and where Lydia (SWARTZ) FRANTZ KING died. (3) Josephine Lorena FRANTZ, married Aaron Rishel WINEBERG (s/o John A. WINEBERG & Sophia HOMAN) 1901 in Indiana Co., PA. They divorced in Jefferson County 29 Dec 1920. Josephine and Aaron had one child: Orrin or Oran WINEBERG, born about 1908. Would like to know what became of Josephine (FRANTZ) WINEBERG and her son. Thanks for any help. Regards, Lola Allen
