    3. In another post, I indicated that I have a map dated 1951 entitled God's Country, Pennsylvania's Last Frontier, Showing places of historic interest, towns, roads, streams, mountains, and other things enjoyed by the outdoorsman. The border of the map is made up of several log brands "used in driving to the boom". Once again I thought someone might recognize a name. If so, Email me and I will describe the brand. They are pretty simple. Beverly Carter [email protected] Julius JONES - Benezette Wm. A. WALLACE - Clearfield E. A. IRVIN - Curwensville LLOYD & PERKINS - Williamsport Major James H. 3. I have a map dated 1951 entitled God's Country, Pennsylvania's Last Frontier, Showing places of historic interest, towns, roads, streams, mountains, and other things enjoyed by the outdoorsman. As I looked at it I realized there were lots of names and dates that might mean something to someone, so I decided to post them along with a general idea of where on the map the information was located. It is not a road map showing county borders etc., but more like a schematic drawing of the area and seems to encompass the counties of Clearfield, Elk, Cameron, eastern Jefferson, and western Clinton. For that reason, I am sending this to all those county lists. There is no more information than what I have listed, but I will be glad to answer questions if something needs clarified. Hope this helps someone. Beverly Carter [email protected] Reynoldsville; George SMITH 1827-1901 Wolf and panther hunter. Killed 500 wolves McGee's Mills; first raft. 1. OFF TOPIC: More Help Needed in DC
    2. Alice Gayley
    3. This is for Al and Fran Plyler and the others on this list who live here in the Washington, DC, area. Have been reading about folks who are trying to donate blood but can't because the blood banks are swamped with donors. If you're among this group, here is another way you can help: The Salvation Army needs food donations for the volunteers at the Pentagon. They are accepting the donations at The Sheraton Suites in Alexandria, 801 St. Asaph Street in old town Alexandria. They are asking for: muffins fruit water lunch bags loaves of bread luncheon meat Please feel free to forward this off list since they need a lot of supplies. I'm off to Old Town now. 3. familytreemaker.com is also off line (they are cousin companies) so the server for the company must be down. Saturday night it must be a failure of some type. No dummy would schedule maintenance on a heavy useage night...well???
