I was on another website and came across this address. Supposedly you can write for information on mining accidents. National Mine Health & Safety Academy PO Box 1166 Beckley, WV 25802-1166 Phone: (304) 256-3100 Fax: (304) 256-3372 I don't know what information you may need to give them or what you would get in return.
Hi Listers, For any of you researching family history in Canada, we have a chance to help our cousins to the North. They need our help in lobbying their Government for access to Census Records subsequent to 1906. Please, if you are researching family in Canada, or if you are interested in furthering the open and unrestricted access to records for family historians and genealogists, please check out this site. Thank you, Carrie The URL is: http://globalgenealogy.com/Census/
I'm not sure I have an address. You'll have to wait until I get home and if you don't hear from me after early March send me another e-mail. This old laptop I'm using isn't very dependable and I may lose your address. Chuck
Hi Tami, I am also descended from SNYDERs. However, I can't connect yours to my because my goes back a little further. I have a Valentine SNYDER from Revolutionary days. He had a farm in Armstrong Co., PA, now Clarion Co. It's owned by his descendants. Valentine was in Northampton Co., then went to Westmoreland Co., before settling in Armstrong/Clarion Co. Not all of Valentine's sons were found. If you want I'll e-mail you privately the information I have (will be in an attachment) in case you can ever connect to him. Let me know. I think there is a connection because when we were in Schwartzenfelds we visited with the Wewrthmans and they showed us the family tree which showed our connection. It sounds like this would be interesting to follow up
Do you have an address for the Werthmanns you visited? I'd love to contact some relatives in Germany! I don't think you're the person I corresponded with but there may be a connection. My ancestor, Johann Caspar Werthmann was born in Swarzenfels on 29 May 1800. His godfather was Johann Caspar Breidenbach. I don't know if that indicates a relationship or not. Does this fit the time frame for your Casper Breidenbach? There were Breidenbachs on the ship Hertha that Caspar Werthmann came on. When you get your information write me again. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Chuck4306@aol.com> To: <PAJEFFER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, February 06, 2004 8:09 PM Subject: Re: Breidenbach > I am not sure I am the person you are referring to, but My grandmother > Snyder's maiden name was Breidenbach (Bradenbach) and I believe they came to America > after 1837. I am not sure I am the person you are referring to, but My grandmother Snyder's maiden name was Breidenbach (Bradenbach) and I believe they came to America after 1837. I am not at home at the present time and I don't have that information available. However as soon as I get home (Mar 2) I will be able to give you more info. My Grandmother's name was Margaretta and she had two brothers, Andrew and Casper. Casper died in the Civil War and is buries at Arlington. Casper was married to Rebecca Yost and they are buried in Brookville Cemetery. They had a number of children, Roy, Will, Margaret and two or three others that I can't come up with right now. My Great Grandfather was Kasper and they settled in the little town of Putneyville in Northern Armstrong County, PA. and that is where they are buried. Let me know if this is of any interest to you and I will give you more data when I get home. The Bradenbachs came from the Village of Schwartzenfelds in Germany and I have visited there. Chuck Snyder
I would like to contact the person who was researching the Breidenbach family from the Jefferson/Indiana Co. PA area that came to America in 1837 on the ship HERTHA. I have lost your name and address. If you're out there please write me direct. I have found some information that might be of interest. Betty Rudolph Boise, ID

Is there anyone else on this list that is actively researching the family of Daniel and Sarah (Confer) Yale of Porter Twp., Jefferson Co., PA and Brockport, Horton Twp., Elk Co., PA? I've been taking a second look at this family and have come up with some discrepancies that I'd like to run past another researcher. Family tradition has always maintained that Nancy Jane Yale and Hettie A. Yale were the same person, but after taking a look at the 1860 and 1870 census, this is obviously not true. Hettie A. Yale married Benjamin Swartwood for sure and they are both buried in the Mountain Church Cemetery in Brockport. What happened to Nancy Jane? Also, there was supposed to have been a daughter Jennie Yale born circa 1848 (and later married William Stelcer) who is not on the 1860 census of Porter Twp., Jefferson with her family. She would have been 12-13 years old-- where is she? I can't locate the Yale family in 1850, when they SHOULD have had children Daniel W (Born circa 1844). and Jennie (Circa 1848). Did Jennie Yale exist, or is she a figment of someone's imagination? Any ideas appreciated. Sherry Bish JesbergerVisit Sherry's Pennsylvania Genealogy! http://genealogy.myzf.com
Hi, I noted your interest in the Schuckers. I'm studying and recording all the family histories of the Shuker/Shucker/Schuckers people who originated here in Berks County, PA. Can you tell me a bit more about your Schuckers people and I think I may be able to connect? Thanx. Kerm in Berks County Mona Anderson wrote: > > I am researching my husband's mother's family. I am researching my husband's mother's family. Is there anyone who has access to burials in the BEECHTREE CEMETERY who may be able to give me more information on the following: Alvira ALLEN EXLEY b. 2 Mar 1853 d. 25 Mar 1883 wife of Isaac EXLEY. Are they possibly in Beechtree? Chester A. ALLEN b. 1869 (I have no other info on him) Dillis ALLEN b.1812 or 1813 in Vermont d. 1878 buried in Beechtree. (Would like complete dates, if possible.) Dllis S. ALLEN 1870-1931 buried in Beechtree. (Wouls also like complete dates and info on spouse if there is one) J.G. May (dates unknown) wife of Franklin SCHUCKERS Thank you for any help.
Hi David, I would like try to help you with your problem.I must ask some questions first. That marriage date, was that supposed to be 1795? There are 14 William Bailey's in the 1820 Pa Census, how did you determine that he was in Venango County? How many children did he have and what were their ages? With the help of Ancestry.com,I was able to pin- point all the William Bailey's in 1790 to 1820,which I'll send them to you if you want them. If you have seen the 1820 Pa Census, then you realalize that it's going to be a matter of matching up the numbers of people in each family until you find one that fits.
