He married Ann Douglas on Dec. 15, 1845 in the Parish of St. Mary's Carlisle. Witnesses were Andrew Douglas and Martha Thompson. He seems to have been married twice. There were 1/2 sisters. The 1841 Census says he was born about 1826. He died after 1872. The record lists his father as John Paisley. John lived at John St. Lonsdale Lane in Carlisle in 1841. Joseph Paisley, age 15 and John Paisley age 48. There were quite a few children also. John Tomlinson age 30 and Hector Paisley age 40 also lived in the household.
