Last name of Frances might have been Wilson because that name has permeated down through the generations. Their first child, Laura Jane, was born in Chautaque County, NY, about 1830. The couple shortly thereafter moved to Allen County, Ohio,and had several more children (James, William,Nancy, Elizabethh, Mary, Philenda). Around 1860 they settled in Schuyler County, IL. Also, his parents names and siblings, in my dreams. He married Mary Barnet Gibson b 1810, Ireland. Their first child was Mary Jane Paisley b1832, Antrim, Ireland. This family was presbyterian. I was given great advice, find Gibson & Paisley names in records of the same church or ?. So the effort had been on any church records or documentation in Antrim that has Gibson & Paisley. Haven't had much luck. However, I found Barnet & Gibson families in Lisburn, Antrim which is next door to Belfast. I know there were Paisleys in Belfast. Since this family emigrated to Canada around 1840, I assume there may not be much in the way of documentation. Any advise is so greatly appreciated. My gr.gr.grandfathers son John McCOLL born 1840,married Catherine Livingstone ,born 1841, in Paisley in 1863. Johns parents were John McColl born Morvern Argyll,and Mary Campbell born Isle of Lismore Argyll. Catherines parents were Alexander Livingstone and Marion McInnes. I found Crocket Hector Paisley on a search for my Wallace descendants. To add to the mystery, my Margaret Wilson Wallace b1829, Scotland married James Patton b1817, Ireland. They lived in Goderich, Ontario, Canada. One of their children was Sarah Patton who married WILLIAM JOHN PAISLEY b1847, Smiths Falls, Ontario. Back to Crocket Hector Paisley, he was a lawyer and stayed in the town he was born. The earliest census has him in Richland, Story Iowa living with Elwood Furnas and his wife Elizabeth. They are farmers and no info on Crocket other than occupying space at that home. I found census following that gives Crockets father as Ben Posley b1850, Illinois (Pasley) & Mary E Graver. I was researching my Wallace line that started in Scotland/Goderich, Ont, Canada/Buchanan Iowa. A Wallace married a Little/Little married Gemmel/Gemmel married Paslay?
