    3. Steve, I'm dealing with PPP Photo x2 2008.... it can't be the first 2 things....actually it's not just the File/open....the select arrow just flickers for several minutes before the flickering stops and lets me select something.... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steven" <magi48@yahoo.com> To: <paint-shop-pro@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 12, 2011 3:10 PM Subject: Re: [PAINT-SHOP-PRO] Problem with File/Open It could be that your low on memory to process faster. It could be that your computer has too many things running at the same time. And what version of PPP? --- On Mon, 9/12/11, Barbara Lewis <lewisroots@comcast.net> wrote: From: Barbara Lewis <lewisroots@comcast.net> Subject: [PAINT-SHOP-PRO] Problem with File/Open To: paint-shop-pro@rootsweb.com Date: Monday, September 12, 2011, 1:46 PM I don't know if this is a vista problem, but when in PPP and I go to "file/open" bring in a photo , the little circle goes around and around for about 3 minutes and then I can finally bring in a photo. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and it does the same thing. It didn't always do this...just started a few months ago. Can it be that remnants of the program are still on the computer when I try to reinstall? I'm afraid that if I go out a buy a new program, the same thing will happen. Does anyone have any advice??? I would be most grateful... 3. If you did a fresh install & not an install over PP2 again, that would get rid of corrupted files. I use to run with Vista Pro & PP2 Ultimate worked. But it was slow with only 1 GIG of memory. I increased my memory & things were fast again. But you said it worked before.. Well before what? Something changed. That is why I suspect too many programs are running at the same time. If you know how to use Windows Task Manager you can visually see what is being used on your computer. --- On Mon, 9/12/11, Barbara Lewis <lewisroots@comcast.net> wrote: From: Barbara Lewis <lewisroots@comcast.net> Subject: Re: [PAINT-SHOP-PRO] Problem with File/Open To: paint-shop-pro@rootsweb.com Date: Monday, September 12, 2011, 2:48 PM Steve, I'm dealing with PPP Photo x2 2008.... it can't be the first 2 things....actually it's not just the File/open....the select arrow just flickers for several minutes before the flickering stops and lets me select something....
