Her parents are James St. Clair (1741-1806) and Sarah Miller. James St. Clair was born in York Co., PA. The St. Clair family was founded during the middle ages by Sir Walderne de St. Clair a Norman Knight. This St. Clair family is originally from Scotland, and this branch is Scotch-Irish.
