I was wondering: back over 150 years ago, if an ancestor was buried on his own property, instead of in a cemetery, and after a few decades part of property was sold off for a strip mine, then if that ancestors grave was dug up, what happens? Today, I would think they would stop work, and contact the authorities. But what would they do 50 years ago? 100 years ago? Would they stop their work? Or just keep on digging. What ever they would do, would there be any records of such events? Does anyone know? Thanks -Gary T. Gibson
