I do have access to the book you are referring to, and John is mentioned in it, but that as far as it goes. I am starting to believe he left PA (or at least Indiana Co.) around 1877, but I have no idea where he went. I do know that his son Walter claimed his inheritance, from his grandfather Ephraim, in Pueblo Co., Colorado in 1914. I keep hoping there is someone out there who can shed some light on the situation, because everything about him leads to a dead end. Thanks again. Wanda
