Haver, FHL Film #1698097: ~Lawrence Albert Buterbaugh, 82, Johnstown, formerly of Commodore RD 1, died Sunday, July 22, 1990, in the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. A son of Edward and Maggie Pearl Dishong Buterbaugh, he was born Oct. 24, 1907, in Green Township. Mr. Buterbaugh was a former coal miner, and more recently an orderly at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Surviving are his wife, Mona J. Gilhausen Buterbaugh, whom he married Sept. 30, 1938; two sons: Richard E., Lake Charles, La; Amos, Johnstown; a daughter, Betty J., Nashville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Oscar, Wadsworth, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Arnold: five brothers: Calvin, Charles, Blaine, Raymond and Clair; six sisters: Effie and Vernie Buterbaugh, Mildred Fridley, Edna Hankerson, Dorothy Palmer and Wilda Brezinsky. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Rairigh Funeral Home, Hillsdale, where services will b! e held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Edwin F. Nichol officiating.
