Saw your posting asking about Westmoreland County ever being a township. I don't know for sure, but I have a copy of a will for Peter Fox written in 1818 and Hempfield was a township in Westmoreland County, and I remember reading something about Indiana County, PA was made from Westmoreland County. Don't know that that will be of any help at all. I have a Paulina Caldwell born @ 1865 that married Frank Barr, son of John Barr and Margaret Bowle. These any of your Barr ancestors?
