Rager: Funeral services were held on Monday April 6th, at 2 P.M. in memory of Mrs. Catherine A. Rager, of Hamburg, N.Y., formerly of near Black Lick. Interment followed in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Armor, N.Y. Mrs. Rager passed away at Hamburg on April 4th. She was the wife of the late Goerge A. Rager. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dora Cribbe, of Buffalo, two sisters, M.____ Ida Burke of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. Margaret Gamble, of Blairsville, Pa. She also leaves two grandchildren, Mrs. Cari Dick, wife whom she made her home in Hamburg, and Eugene Cribbs, of West Seneca. There are also three great-grandchildren. Funeral services in memory of Mrs. Rager were held at the Fogelsanger Funeral Home in Hamburg, as bove mentioned. Julius Rager a prominent hotel man died at the Spangler hospital as the result of an attack of blood poisoning, which resulted from a needle wound received when Mr. Rager sat down on a needle, which entered his leg above the knee. Edith Rager, the six month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Rager, of Wehrum, died at the Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, Wednesday. The child had been operated on for a mastoid abcess. The body was brought to Wehrum for interment. The deceased was born in Josephine, June 21, 1905. Friends are being received at home of Frank Mitchell, Josephine, where services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. RAGER, 57, Cherry Tree R.D., died in the Spangler Hospital, January 15 at 4:45 a.m. A son of the late Thomas and Agnes Kibbits Rager, he was born February 8, 1895 in Patchinville. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Florence Henry, Cherry Tree R.D.; William, Atlruis, Calif.; Mrs. Emma Bloomer, Washington, D.C.; Frank, Cherry Tree; Delmont, Hot Springs, Ark., and Mrs. Winifred Hoffner, Steubenville, Ohio. Friends are being received at the McCandell Funeral Home, of Burnside, where services will be held Sunday, January 13, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. C. R. Doverspike officiating. Interment will be in the Harmony Cemetery, Burnside Town- (rest of article missing--unknown newspaper dated 1953.) ------------------------------------------- RAGER--On Tuesday, January 23, in his home, 252 South Liberty Street, Blairsville, Earl Norman Rager, 38. Born in Burrell township, March 14, 1901, a son of Mark R. and Catherine (Hollis) Rager. He leaves his parents; his wife, Mrs. Ella Butler Rager, two sons: Earl Norman, Jr., and Richard Thomas, both at home, and two brothers, Wilbur and Blaine Rager. Funeral services were held today (Thursday) by the Rev. C. P. Saladay with burial in Blairsville Cemetery. (Unknown newspaper dated 1940.)
