Here are some more RAGERS. If anyone knows who they are, please contact me: HUGH RAGER, one of the oldest and most respected citizens of Burrell township, died last Thursday, December 8. His death was due to heart failure, from which he had been a sufferer for some time. Mr. Rager had been a resident of the vicinity in which he died almost his entire life and was closely identifited with the people and interests of his neighborhood. His wife and several children survive him. He was 74 years of age. (Indiana County Gazette 1892 December 14.) ------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Joseph Rager died at her home near Blacklick on the morning of May 31. The funeral was held on Friday, interment being made in the Lutheran cemetery. John Rager, of Jackson township, Cambria county, was watching a couple of his boarders playing checkers last Friday night. He spoke to them saying, "Now boys, have a good time; I will not be with you long." In less than five minutes he fell dead. It is thought heart disease was the cause of his death. Mrs. Susan Rager died at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. Thomas Winkleman, near Blacklick, on Thursday morning, February 23. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jennie Winkleman, and three sisters, Mrs. James Rager, of Blairsville, and Harriet and Lucinda Rager, of Blacklick.. That's all for now.
