Claire. I would guess that the birth certificate would be at the county courthouse where he was born. My mother had a delayed birth certicate where her brother and a few others had to attest to her birth in Huntingdon. At the top it reads, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, County of Huntingdon. Her brother gave her birth as a year younger than she really was.;>) It might be possible that it was filed in Tarentum, County Courthouse if he obtained it as an adult when living there.
