Griffith Complications incident to age, caused the death of Evan B. Griffith, 70, an esteemed resident of Homer City, in the Indiana Hospital at 10:55 o’clock on Saturday night. He was a son of Samuel and Margaret (Brown) Griffith, was born in Grisemore, Green township, on December 25, 1867, and spent his early life in that section of the county. Mr. Griffith was united in marriage to Miss Martha Williams, of Pine township, on December 24, 1891, who survives him, with the following children: Mrs. H.D. Walker and A.B. Griffith, of Homer City; Mrs. F.A. Benson, of Indiana; Mrs. R.J. Sweeney, of Lucerne Mines; Mrs. J.J. Baker, of Blairsville; Mrs. D.L. Wetzel, of Baltimore, Md.; and Mrs. H.E. Flickinger, of Bridgeville. Twenty-five grandchildren are living. Funeral services were held at his late home on Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Samuel Hill and burial was made in Greenwood cemetery. __________________________________________________
