He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida Stevens Brown, and one daughter, Gladys, at home. Mrs. Elias Learn and Mrs. Charles Hartman both of Commodore, are sisters of the deceased. Mr. Brown was one of the well known and highly esteemed farmers and citizens of the southern section of the county and was prominently identified with the agricultural interests of his community. He was elected a director of the Patron’s Mutual Fire Insurance Co. on January 13, 1913, and served continuously since that time in a most efficient manner. He was a former director of the First National Bank of Blairsville, served as a school director in Burrell township for a number of years and was judge of election in his district at the time of his death, having held that office for several terms. He was a devout christian and a member of the United Presbyterian church of Blairsville for many years. Funeral services will be held at his late home on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock and burial will be made in the Blairsville cemetery. __________________________________________________
