We are searching for the children of John and Mary Ann/a Cassidy BROWN: Both John and Mary Ann were born in Indiana County, 1828 and 1830 respectively. They married at SS Simon & Jude in Blairsville in April 1850. We have information about John and Mary Ann's ancestors back to the mid 1700's. We find John and Mary Ann as a couple in the 1850 census for Blairsville, Indiana, PA. We find them as parents of James Buchanan BROWN at James's christening in 1856. James is my gg grandfather. We find them as parents of the following children in the 1860 census for Pittsburgh PA: A., 9, b. abt 1851 in PA (Albert? John had a brother named Albert; he could have named this child after him) H., 7, b. abt. 1853 in PA J., 4, b. abt. 1856 in PA (James) C., 2, b. abt 1858 in PA. My gg grandfather had little recollection of his siblings, since his mother died in 1861 and he was placed in an orphanage or foster care. We have not been able to trace the father after the 1860 census. Could this A. BROWN, age 9 in 1860, be a possible match for your Albert?
