George Gromley, aged 24 years, of Cherry Tree, was instantly killed on Thursday when he foil underneath his train running near Flemings Summit, on the Dixonville and Cherry Tree railroad. It is supposed that Gromley, who was a brakeman on the train, lost his foothold while making a coupling, lie leaves to survive him his wife arid an infant child, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gromley, of Cookport, and several brothers and sisters. The funeral services were conducted at his late home on Sunday and the remains were taken to Cookport, where interment was made. He was a member of the order of Red Men and Jr. O. U. A.
