    1. [PA INDIANA] FARREN family and connections??
    2. Susan E.
    3. Dear Listers, Recently I have been attempting to gather information about the siblings of my direct ancestors, many that lived in Indiana county and eastern Armstrong county. My great grandmother's sister Elizabeth, married Reuben Farren [1825-], son of Charles and Elizabeth or Mary Farren. I think Elizabeth______ was probably the 1st wife and Mary the second, unless the mother went by both names. I have census and newspaper info that has given me several answers, but there needs to be more definitive information. These particular Farren families lived in Washington Twp. and were farmers. After Mary Farren dies about 1877, Reuben settles her estate and by 1880 he has moved his family in Dixon County, Nebraska. This may have been because of his service in the Civil War, with reward of land in Iowa as compensation. I find them in a state census in 1885 and then they disappear. Later I find his son James D. Farren and wife Lillian J. Fish Farren in the surrounding area, where Sioux City, Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri seem to connect. I cannot find any reference to Reuben, Elizabeth or any of their other children, deaths, marriages, or any newspaper info. I am also a little uncertain of Charles Farren [1780-1870] family. If anyone is working on these families I would like to share info and find more certain answers. Thanks for taking time to read this and have a good week.
