Smicksburg R. D. 1 yesterday at 1:00 p. m. following an illness of five years. She was born June 22, 1872 in West Mahoning Township, Indiana County, a daughter of John L. and Susan (Brown) Stear and had lived in the home in which she died her entire life. Her husband Harvey McClelland, died six years ago last September. Mrs McClelland was a life long member of the Trade City Lutheran church. Surviving are the following children, Walter, Veterans hospital, Coatsville, Pa; Mrs Mae McCormick at home; Frank, Struthers, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The follwing brothers and sisters also survive; Charles Stear. Smicksburg, R. D. ; Mrs Mae Richie , Coraopolis; Angus Stear, Akron, Ohio; Luther, Wilkinsburg; Mrs Cora Harmon, Smicksburg, R. D. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Methoidst church of Smicksburg in charge of her pastor, Rev. J. B. Troutman. Burial will follow in the new Smicksburg Cemetery, in charge of Bowers Funeral Home. ------------------------------------------ Indiana Weekly Messenger, Thursday, Sept 29, 1938 H. O. McClelland 71, a life-long resident of North Mahoning township, died at his home near Smicksburg last Wednesday. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Mollie E. McClelland, and these children; W. C. McClelland, of Wilkinsburg; S. R. McClelland, of Commodore; Mrs May McCormick and Earl McClelland, at home. C. G. McClelland of near Smicksburg is a brother.
