J.K. DEEMER. Mrs. J.K. Deemer, of Homer City, died on Sabbath of consumption, aged about 65 years. Three daughters and two sons survive her. The deceased was a member of the United Presbyterian church at that place. ___________________________________________________ Indiana, PA “Indiana County Gazette” issue of Wednesday, 13 February 1895, p. 1, col. 5 Mrs. Mary Jane Deemer. Mrs. Mary J. Deemer, wife of James K. Deemer, died at her home in Homer City, on Saturday, February 3, aged 63 years, 7 months and 17 days. She had been a sufferer from consumption for about a year, and, although her death was expected it is nevertheless a great shock to her friends. She is survived by her husband and seven children, five daughters and two sons. The children are Mrs. W.G. Bracken, Mrs. Charles Hobaugh and Mrs. H.B. Roof, of Homer City; Mrs. Frank Daugherty, of Sharpsburg, Mrs. William Keim, of West Indiana, Harry B. Deemer, of Twolick, and ***** Deemer, of Apollo. The remains were interred at Greenwood cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at 2, the services being in charge of Rev. McMasters, of Blairsville. Mrs. Deemer had been a member of the U.P. church for over 50 years, and her kind actions will be remembered by all who knew her. ___________________________________________________
