A quick search on Ancestry.com turned up no Thomas Burns as head of household in Westmoreland Co. in the 1790 census. There was, however, a listing in Bedford Co.: Bedford Co. (no township given): Thomas Burns 1 Free White Male 16 or over 0 " " Males under 16 3 " " Females Is this the Thomas Burns who served as a captain in the Revolutionary War and is buried in Bethel Cemetery in Center Township? If so, I do have a rather tenuous connection.
