Thompson. Carrie May Fleming, wife of Mr. George C. Thompson, died of typhoid fever, February 1, 1895, aged 19 years, 8 months and 11 days. She was united in marriage with Mr. Thompson, at Indiana, Pa., October 24, 1894. They enjoyed each other’s companionship only three months and eight days, when death entered their home and bore away the wife that had been his companion so short a time. Mrs. Thompson united with the M.E. church at the age of 14 years. She possessed a character of rare worth, was persistent in her work and kind and gentle in her manners and was loved by all who knew her. During her sojourn in Apollo she formed many friends who mourn her loss. Her husband has the sympathy of the entire community in this sad bereavement. The funeral services were held at the home of Mr. L.F. Cowan Monday, February 3, at 2, and were conducted by Rev. N.G. Miller, pastor of the M.E. church of this place.
