    2. Am not sure if this can be of much help as I can't ask him, but my father became a citizen in 1937. According to my mother, she said she learned more about the government at that time then she did in school as Dad had to learn not only the Pledge of Allegiance, but the Preamble to the Constitition and other things about the government. It seems to me he was tested on that but don't know if their was a ceremoney of any type?..I will see if I can find out.
