They Sarah Houston was living next door to Archy and Agnes Henry in 1860. Agnes' surname was reported to be Shaner. I cannot find any Shaners that she may be connected to. So I though that she may be connected to the Shearers since they were living next door. So far I can find no connection, From History of Indiana County, Penn'a. Newark, Ohio: J.A. Caldwell, 1880, p. 439 John Shearer was born in Westmoreland county in 1808, and married Sarah Morgan, now deceased. Their issue was one son, Thomas, deceased. He settled in this county, in Conemaugh township, on a farm known as the "Alexander Gettty farm." His second marriage was to Sarah J. Huston, of this county, now deceased. The issue of this union was one son and two daughters, all now living on the homestead, viz: James H., Elizabeth, and Sarah Ida. The old stone building on the farm, yet in good condition, was built by A. Getty in 1812. Sarah J., second wife of our subject, was a sister of the Huston brothers in the eastern part of the county, of whom are named to us Samuel and Harry J.
