Surnames: Henry Jones Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UaB.2ACE/3235 Message Board Post: 28 Jun 1905 - Indiana Gazette -TYPHOID FEVER Traced (To Tainted ) Water from a Well - There are at present 20 cases of typhoid fever in Bamesboro and Spangler, and two deaths have resulted: Harry Henry, who left a wife and three children, and Zachary Jones, who left a wife and one child. The widow of Jones is sick at the present time and is in a condition of great weakness. In a number of families three and four have been sick. It is thought the trouble originated in the water of a certain well. Nearly all the familes afflicted have been using this water. The water is clear, cold and sparkling but it seems to have death in it. No action has been taken prohibiting the population from giing to this source for their water supply, bnt it is thought it will be necessary to do so before the typhoid can be driven from the community.
