Luther, of near Armagh, Pa., is being buried today. He is the father of John W. Luther, well known passenger engineer, for many years a resident of Derry. He is also related to Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Piper of First avenue. A veteran of the Civil War, Mr. Luther had followed the life of a farmer for many years. He was up in eighty at the time of his death. He suffered a stroke recently, and never rallied. He is survived by these children: John W. Luther, of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Laura Mack, Clyde Luther, Andrew and Milo, all of the vicinity of Armagh. Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Piper and P.H. Dell left this morning to attend the funeral. The Luther family came out from Pittsburgh on the morning train, passing through Derry en route to New Florence.
