One of their descendants is a participant in the Bricker DNA Project, and so we know the DNA profile of this particular Bricker line. The Jacob Bricker born in 1759, however, seems to have been of an unrelated Bricker line, possibly the grandson of a Jacob Christian Bricker said to have arrived in Virginia around 1718 and whose son Christian reputedly settled in Westmoreland County, Pa around 1769. The Jacob born in 1759 would have been this Christian's son. Unfortunately, to date there is no participant from the Jacob Christian Bricker line in the DNA Project with which we could compare the DNA of the descendent of the Adam Bricker who settled in Clermont County, Ohio, so we cannot say yet whether these two lines were or were not related.
