Davis (1813-1890) & Agnes Gibson (1820-1903). William & Agnes are found in the Green Twp census form 1850-1880. Agnes Gibson d/o James Gibson (1797-1844) & Mary Griffith (1793-?). 15 Aug 1906 - Indiana Weekly Messenger - John DAVIS, a resident of Heilwood, lost his life Thursday while trying to arrange some logs that the high water had swept from their moorings at the Diamondville dam and lodged against the breast of the Heilwood dam. Davis was pushing a log and said to his son to step back as the log was going to swing around, and just then he lost his footing, sunk beside the sheeting and a heavy log crushed in his breast, ending life in a very few minutes. He is survived by a wife and children. 14 Jan 1903 - Indiana Gazette -...on Mon ... after a week's illness, aged 83 years, death was due to the infirmities incident to old age. The deceased was born in Cherryhill township and was a daughter of Rev. James Gibson, deceased. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Thad Douglass and Evan Davis, who live on the old homestead near Pine Fiats: Mrs. J. M. Glassford, of Indiana, and John Davis of Vintondale.
